For the Dining Height Side Chair Wood Base (DSW), Charles and Ray Eames combined the organically shaped shell, now produced by Vitra with post-consumer recycled plastic, with a four-legged wooden base. This contrasting juxtaposition of plastic and wood gives this classic model an appealing, warm casual look. The shells can be equipped with seat cushions or fully upholstered in a wide selection of fabric colors, allowing for multiple individual configurations.
